As made compulsory by the D35-386 norm, It must not be possible while the burner is still hot to :
refill the burner
restart the Burner
When ethanol is in contact with hot surfaces, it vaporizes quickly.
Ethanol vapors, heavier than air, have a tendency to remain within the
confines of the fireplace.
When igniting the liquid in the burner, vapors will also be ignited
creating a hot start ignition effect. If there is a high concentration
of vapors, ignition becomes dangerous and several serious accidents
have occurred with non secure burners.
Sparxs burners are equipped with temperature sensors and locking systems controlled by an electronic microprocessor.
